This is my first post i have been investing since 2001 it has been a slow ride and bumpy from time to time but the end results will be worth it when i get there. Of course as allows my life and hopefully my posts will point to my life in Christ. I hope you all will enjoy my journey as we do this together
This report catches myself up on dividend reports it is great to get caught up. My portfolio I keep at Merrill Edge really caught fire this month surging past $200,000 Dollars this doesn’t include the stock I have at equinity or my dividend paying mutual fund It was at the end of 2017 my account was at sharebuilder and it went over $100,000. So. Little over 2.5 years later we have the next $100,000, how crazy is that? I doubt it doubles that quickly. I also track my dividend Stocks and it topped out recently at $229,000 these both are incredible numbers. My Goal is to add my non dividend stocks to my main tracker eventually so I can see it all combined.
T $203.24 GIS $28.91 APPL $68.01 ABBV $111.06 MAIN $27.25 O $11.37 CFFN $31.73 SBUX $21.32 USHYX $65.30 Total $568.19
As you can see another solid month. I sold out of GIS and added a little to T, ABBV, SBUX and APPL. In 10 years APPL could be my largest dividend payer by a long shot. The YOY from last years $487.03 is 16.6 percent higher. I hope your August was great
July came and went. Went on my yearly camping trip up in the mountains of Colorado
KO $25.01 PPL $48.97 IRM $30.93 MO $200.32 MAIN $27.07 APTS $31.73 O $11.37 MPW $15.93 KDP $14.70 USHYX $67.52 NRZ $45.15 APTS $18.38 AQN $12.14 Total $549.22
NRZ had a dividend raise and moved back to this month it really help this month out but it is not back to where it was. Additions to existing stocks and some dividend increases helped this month out. Added to PPL KO taxable APTS which is the first one listed. MO was the big dividend weight this month. This month had a YOY of 17.6 compared to last years dividend of $466.95. Hope you all had a good month.
This meme always seems appropriate for this month. June is always my largest month of the quarter and this month is no exception.
KR $20.64 VLO $54.88 HBI $26.70 CVX $37.41 XOM $134.35 MSFT $31.14 WBA $31.11 MAIN $25.88 O $11.35 LYB $56.70 DUK $67.10 FLO $23.36 R $50.40 D $35.72 USHYX $65.80 MGIC $9.30 BAC $52.38 FDUS $49.80 MRCC $31.50 MRCC $22.73 PEG $215.81 V $1.80 Total $1,055.86
Not a bad month considering 2 companies with dividend cuts were FdUS and MRCC and MGIC. Companies that had been giving raises but didn’t were XOM BAC and R and LYB. Received dividend raises from Duk, WBA and KR. hopefully get some good raises once they start raising the dividend again in March bought quite a few companies in this group. All considering the YOY was 25.7 percent compared to the $839.59 I received last June. Hope your month was good
Once again May will be a simple report as I am catching up. I am up around where I was 2 years ago and climbing.
GIS $28.91 T $187.07 APPL $67.01 ABBV $99.14 CFFN $31.48 MAIN $25.69 NRZ $22.58 O $9.72 SBUX $16.81 USHYX $45.50 Total $533.91
Nothing to complain about this month except NRZ is a one time payment here and returned to its regular month. T ABBV and APPL were the big ones this month I have been adding to T, ABBV and SBUX and O. YoY increase was Over 12 percent compared to last years $473.49. Hope your dividends were good.
Getting caught up on these I like using the library computers as I can do so much more on them but I have to take what I can take. April was one of my biggest months for dividend cuts as I hold NRZ in April they deferred the payment to May which helped that month and hurt this month even more. APTS was one of the other cuts I had this month
PPL $34.86 KO $17.22 IRM $26.60 MPW $10.80 SPKKY $66.48 MAIN $24.86 APTS $24.41 O $9.02 KDP $14.70 USHYX $59.99 CHRYY $29.37 MO $190.65 APTS $26.62 AQN $10.93
Even with NRZ and Apts dividend cut I must have added a lot because I ended up with more money YoY which I will take any day of the week and twice on Sunday. $502.68 was last years dividend so I am pleasantly pleased with this 8.7 percent increase. Been adding a little here and there to MO KO and my Taxable APTS which is the lower one this month. Hope you all had a great month
This won’t be as fancy as my regular posts as I need to catch up. But March was an awesome month for dividends for me. I had a couple of dividend cuts of around $1,200 most of them were from my higher dividend stocks.
KR $19.20 VLO $48.02 LYB $48.30 CVX $30.96 XOM $131.86 HBI $23.70 DAL $28.98 MSFT $31.04 WBA $22.88 Flo $19.17 MAIN $23.00 O $9.00 DUK $65.21 D $26.32 R $35.84 USHYX $58.19 BAC $49.14 FDUS $64.74 MRCC $38.85 V $0.90 MRCC $26.92 PEG $213.51
March 2019 total was $699.49. The YOY increase is 42.1 percent. Buys and dividend increases were the main drivers. I added a lot more buys this month as markets were good for adding. Hope your portfolio did good.
Hope everyone is doing ok. Due to not having a computer I won’t be able to put out as many posts. If I figure out how to transfer tables and such for my posts. Once I get on a computer again I will start updating again. If I can figure out how to transfer google sheets I will try to do an update.
I hope everyone has a happy Easter. I have had DAL suspend their dividend and a big cut in NRZ.
We are 2 months into the year and the market was marching and initially threw off any bad news that was heading its way then we hit the last week of February and The corona virus finally started affecting the markets. I think these things are overblown and the media makes more of it than they should. Some say why catch a falling knife other people I here say they wont invest till this is over. I will continue to buy a little here and a little there just like always and let the market work itself out.
This month saw me hit new high in my portfolio Value only to come crashing down but i am OK with that, because my money is buying more stock and my dividends that are reinvested will do the same thing as long as the market is down.
My total for the month of is $509.98 If i were to go to my Durango Joes coffee shop at 2.97 a cup times 29 is $86.13. That would leave me with a nice $423.85 to put towards my bills. I am going to eventually put it all back in the stock market, I brought in $17.58 a day. This is a 1.97 percent decrease over last February. Total for year now I have brought in $1097.14 which drops our total per day to $18.28. Total lifetime tracked dividends is $25348.35. The 12 month estimated dividend stands at $6582.84 based on this month, through the end of 2020. You can see the results after time a mix of dividend reinvestment and adding on my own has helped this tremendously. This month would pay most of my bills. Looking at the chart you can see what percentage of dividend was from each company this month. You can look at past dividends here.
With $509.98 brought in this month and a total of $1097.14 I am 11.42 percent of my Bronze level goal of $9600.00. My 12 month out Prospective dividend rose from $8,782.52 to $8,963.54.
I have been making some changes to my Portfolio, to streamline it into a portfolio that is driven by dividend increases. The portfolio will be better in the long run because of this. The portfolio page has been updated here.
For those that like total return I am gonna start including it in here, I myself just care about the dividends but some like the total return
Since June 18 when i first moved my money through Feb 29, 2020 I have a 11.18% S&p 500 TR is 13.04% increase. Increase for Feb 1st-Feb 29th i have a -9.03% the S&P 500 is -8.23%. Increase from Jan 1st -Feb 29 -10.19% S&p 500 TR is -8.27%
How was your month? Let me know in the comments below.
Another month has passed and what would a month be without a buy or 2? wether the market is up down or sideways i like to do a little buying. since moving to Merrill Edge i have done buying in smaller increments as there has been no trading fees except for on sells some small fees which are required. I actually like this approach as it gets me into a position sooner rather than later and if i waited i might find something else i liked better. That would be a good problem to have.

Smaller amount of purchases this month but they delivered a bang for my buck. This added $134.73 total to my dividends. I spent $2689.56 a lot of this was spent this past week as the market was falling, some say it is a falling knife but i say good buying opportunities. Only time will tell I did alright during the 2008-2009 buy oppurtunity and i expect to do ok on this one also if it prolongs a while. I will continue to do what i do and that is buy stocks whether the market is up or down.
