This post is to outline the goals for 2019. We are going to keep it simple and hope that we can continue Lots of great stuff especially keeping with lots of dividend increases.
- The main thing I want to do is keep buying quality stocks at great prices. I want to continue to add to existing stocks while balancing it out and adding more to the base.
- I want to try to get around $270 dollars in dividend increases this year. I want to build up stock i already have that have good increases and pray that some others have some nice increases.
- I want to bring in at minimum $7,300.00 in dividends this year this will be the bronze level. $7,600.00 will be the silver level and $8,000 will be the gold level. I want a good balance of stock between Reits and those that have high dividend increases. I doubt that i will surpass last years dividend as early as i did this year but i think with nice dividend increases i can end up blowing last years total away.
- I will check in monthly to see how i am doing.
Did you set any goals what are they?
My favorite time of the month is here when we start reading peoples dividend reports and see how great you guys did and compute mine so we can see how I did. This month is no exception September is here Pumpkin spice coffee is already at SBUX and is probably best thrown in the trash after you order it but none the less another month is in the books.
August was the first full month that my sharebuilder account had been transferred over to Merrill Edge. So now while its hard to say its now a Merrill Edge account.
Along with my bigger purchase of KDP earlier in the month which I wrote about I alo purchased a smaller amount of VOD on August 20th for 5 shares with a price of $22.97 for a total of $114.85, commission free. This buy adds $8.75 to my forward dividends. Small buys count also and I want every dollar to count so we are. smaller buys we will describe here unless i make a few of them throughout a week.

June is past and we are streaming into the second half of the year. For the midyear review we are going to look at how balanced or unbalanced my portfolio is. This does include mutual funds or ETFs which i have 1.
As you can see a big difference not only in total amount but some of the sectors. I was gifted a lot of stock about $33,000 from my mom so that is where the main difference comes from. Selling of UVE a financial stock and adding it to T is the what makes up the differences between Financial and Telecoms. While I would like consumer goods to get out in front that wont happen over night and i will continue to add good companies at good to great prices as i see fit.
How is your portfolio balance?
