January 22 Dividend And Portfolio recap

Welcome back as a new year is under way and month 1 is complete. I am going to run down my dividends, and an over view of my portfolio. The best part of dividend investing is watching my dividends come in.

Ticker Dividend
PPL $51.88
MO $271.38
MPW $28.67
MAIN $31.95
O $13.24
AQN $39.75
KDP $29.81
NRZ $162.13
USHYX $72.05
Total dividend $700.86

A great month to start the year. MPW, AQN and part of NRZ are in my Roth. I plan to move the rest of NRZ over to the Roth in the coming years. I plan on moving MAIN and O into my Roth over the next few years also. Last Jan I started in the negative this year was a 23 percent increase.

I sold T and bought DHI, RILY, OMF, SBUX, ABBV, AAPL. It was a tough decision but had to be made. My goal in this move is to get better dividends and growth over the long run.

As far as my Top 10 stocks the bottom of it was ever changing SBUX was in there but the recent drop and rise from CVX pushed them in the top 10 to replace T. My portfolio value fell a little, the dividends dropped but I think long term this portfolio will be built to withstand major drops. with the loss of T my portfolio number of stocks stands at 36 stocks which includes 1 mutual fund and one non dividend payer

Total portfolio value $366,688.26
Forward annual dividend $11,623.25
Trailing 12 months of Dividends $11,634.69 Expected dividend as of 2022 11,500.79
Net worth as of DEC 21 $583,000.49
Sells T
Bought DHI, RILY, SBUX, AAPL, AABV, PPL, FLO. Those were my main buys this month.
Dividend raises CVX
Future goals
Future portfolio value of $400000.00
Forward annual dividends of $15,000.00
Future net worth $750,000
This month I went over $45,000 in lifetime dividends.
As I wrap this months report up I’m very pleased with everything. This shows that no matter what you can do the same as I have done and the earlier you start the better off you will be. Just constant buying good quality stocks that raise their value and raise their dividends.

  1. D&H,

Talk about some monster dividends from both MO and NRZ. MO was our largest payout by a long ways as well during January. I’m debating what to do with my T holdings. For now I’ve settled on selling calls against the shares that I own to collect the premium and if the shares get called away then so be it.
