MAY 22 Dividend and Portfolio Review

Another month down and we are entering June. Where does time go? Last week the market snapped a long losing streak but still ended up down for the month. But you know what? My dividends come rolling in wether the market is up or down.

Ticker Dividend
APPL $80.10
ABBV $264.76
SBUX $58.31
USHYX $76.27
OMF $152.95
DHI $18.68
RILY $114.00
NXST $0.90
Dividends $765.97

Sold T before the cut and was concerned I wouldn’t be able to beat last year but I did barely so this is a win win for me. I love the way this is growing.

My portfolio value was up about a bit over last month but down still from the beginning of the year. CVX, XOM, and MO were big gainers in my top 10. I currently have 13 stocks over $10,000. I remember when MO was the closest one and it was something I looked forward to now MO is my 5th highest and hanging on by a thread. My newest over $10,000 club member is VLO. It made a huge push to get up there. On the outside looking in is SBUX, which could rejoin the $10,000 club with some good growth this month.

This months dividends was 1.17 percent higher than last May. YOY it is 18.95 percent higher than last year. I would like that to hit higher but with some of my sells it won’t be easy. But I positioned myself for good dividend growth next year and beyond.

Had 3 dividend raises AQN, FLO, and LYB with LYB giving us a $5.20 special dividend. That will help my June income. The regular dividends increased by $31.20. To get that dividend I would have to add $1019.6 dollars to get that equivalent.

Total portfolio value $377,925.83
Forward annual dividend $11,557.13
Trailing 12 months of Dividends $12,407.58 Expected dividend as of 2022 $11,381..23
Net worth as of MAR 22 $600,434.42
Sells
Bought RILY, TGT, SBUX, BAC, and AAPL. Those were my main buys this month.
Dividend raises.
Future goals
Future portfolio value of $400000.00
Forward annual dividends of $15,000.00
Future net worth $750,000
This month I went over $49,000.00 in lifetime dividends.
As I wrap this months report up I’m very pleased with everything. This shows that no matter what you can do the same as I have done and the earlier you start the better off you will be. Just constant buying good quality stocks that raise their value and raise their dividends.

Feb 22 Dividend and Portfolio Review

February has ended that means we are 2/12 of the way done with the year. Bring a shorter month means it ended faster and the report can get out sooner.

Ticker Dividend
T $214.05
APPL $76.30
ABBV $256.59
MAIN $32.09
O $13.24
OMF $152.95
USHYX $71.00
DHI $15.98
SBUX $50.96
Total dividend $883.16

As you can see this was a great month. T won’t be on the next time as I sold it with no regrets. 9 dividend payouts ABBV is a monster and should continue to grow at a nice pace. This will be my last payout from O till I rebuy it in my Roth. I used the proceeds to buy a share of Goog. With them announcing a 20-1 split I’d like to up my amount a bit so some plans have changed. I am still a dividend growth invested and will continue to be.

This was a good month for dividend raises as I received 5 of them the bad side is 1 cut to PPL.

AAPL, PEG, GOOG, MSFT, USHYX, MO, XOM, BAC, CVX, and KR are my top 10 stocks all over 10k in each one. A few years ago my goal was to just get stocks to 10K now with that obliterated I keep adding. 11 stocks over 10K and another 1 knocking on the door. Most of the top 10 is down a little which allows me to add and collect more dividends. Even though my portfolio value dropped again I know it will rise again and higher than my previously highest close. Time is on my side.

Total portfolio value $364,535.48
Forward annual dividend $11,713.38

January 22 Dividend And Portfolio recap

Welcome back as a new year is under way and month 1 is complete. I am going to run down my dividends, and an over view of my portfolio. The best part of dividend investing is watching my dividends come in.

Ticker Dividend
PPL $51.88
MO $271.38
MPW $28.67
MAIN $31.95
O $13.24
AQN $39.75
KDP $29.81
NRZ $162.13
USHYX $72.05
Total dividend $700.86

A great month to start the year. MPW, AQN and part of NRZ are in my Roth. I plan to move the rest of NRZ over to the Roth in the coming years. I plan on moving MAIN and O into my Roth over the next few years also. Last Jan I started in the negative this year was a 23 percent increase.

I sold T and bought DHI, RILY, OMF, SBUX, ABBV, AAPL. It was a tough decision but had to be made. My goal in this move is to get better dividends and growth over the long run.

As far as my Top 10 stocks the bottom of it was ever changing SBUX was in there but the recent drop and rise from CVX pushed them in the top 10 to replace T. My portfolio value fell a little, the dividends dropped but I think long term this portfolio will be built to withstand major drops. with the loss of T my portfolio number of stocks stands at 36 stocks which includes 1 mutual fund and one non dividend payer

Total portfolio value $366,688.26
Forward annual dividend $11,623.25

Dividend and Portfolio Review Nov 21

November has come to an end and how do I say this but we are in the last month of 2021 that’s right December 21 is here but we are going to talk about November.

November is done and the dividends are tallied up no matter what happens to the stock market the dividends roll in. Even though my total portfolio was down at the end of the month these dividends kept coming in and they are good.

Ticker Dividend
T $214.05
OMF $72.80
APPL $75.31
ABBV $233.97
MAIN $30.83
O $12.67
RILY $42.00
RILY $126.00
USHYX $74.65
SBUX $37.24
HBI $36.45
Total $955.97

As you can see this November was a strong dividend month pushing ever so close to the comma club. RILY paid a supplemental dividend. Apple is on fire keeps hitting new highs in my portfolio. As I’m in my upper mid 40s I still like a good mix of growth and income stocks so my current portfolio fits me well. I will continue to add to both as I get money to add.

HBI for the second quarter in a row paid in the middle month. I don’t know if this will continue going forward or not. DHI which usually pays in the middle of the quarter looks like at the end of the year pays out in Dec.

This month was 55.09 percent higher than last year. My overall dividends year to date are 29.72 percent higher than last year. With the expected cut from T next year it will be harder to keep that growth but if I can keep it above 10 percent I’ll be happy. Dividend raises this year resulted in $799.25 extra dollars into my account over the next year. This was my highest ever and shows dividends are back. Based on my dividend portfolio I would have to invest over $22,000 to get that.

Total portfolio value $340,407.05
Forward annual dividend $11,711.04

August 21 Dividend Review

August is in the books and I have calculated the results. One thing that is good about the market when you are dividend investing is those dividends come in wether the market is up or down. The market has been on a tear lately, which is good for my portfolio. Ticker Dividend
T $214.05
APPL $75.19
MAIN $29.66
O $12.65
OMF $72.80
OMF $364.00

USHYX $57.89
Rily $8.50
Rily $25.50
SBUX $31.50
HBI $36.45
Total $1,159.53

You can see the results for themselves. OMF and Rily both paid special dividends which helped me get to $1,159.53 in dividends this month. HBI paid this month instead of September. This is first off month to go over $1,000.00 so I’m pretty excited about these results. 3 payments over $200.00 is pretty good.

This was a good month. Dividend increases this year has been kicking it. I won’t get as many next year. Almost half my rise from $10,000 in forward dividends to where I am now was driven by dividend increases. But I still should get quite a bit. I still have a few stocks that haven’t given an increase in awhile. This month was 104 percent higher than last year. Year over year I am 31.4 percent higher.

In my portfolio the top 10 stocks make up over 50 percent of my portfolio. The 10 spot is battle between DUK and XOM with DUK winning right now SBUX and KR are not that far behind.

Total portfolio value $338,427.37
Forward annual dividend $11,307.57

May Dividend and Portfolio Review

May has ended and it is time to look over my portfolio and dividends I received.

As far as the portfolio goes it was a bland month with it being up by less than $1000.00 dollars. I did add one new position. Bringing my total to 39 wonderful stocks. 38 of those stocks currently pay a dividend. The one new stock was RILY capital. It is my smallest allocation so far at .31 percent of the portfolio. The largest allocation is AAPL at 13.6 percent.

Ticker Dividend

OMF $65.80
DHI $3.80
RILY $6.50
RILY $32.50
Dividend $757.06

As you can see I had a fantastic month. 10 companies paying me 11 times. Most of my income comes from ABBV and T but some others are not to shabby.

This months dividend is 41.7 percent higher than last years May dividend. Total dividend for 5 months is 24.8 percent higher than last year

As you can see this was a great month growing dividends. SBUX put off their dividend till next month or it would have been higher. This month was 23.3 percent higher than last years dividend. Year over year total right now is 9.01 percent. Very happy considering last month was negative. This will be my last dividend for CFFN as I sold it off for OMF. Portfolio value is up 2.9 percent since the start of the year

I am moving forward and will soon have to update some of my future goals. Don’t know when but I imagine sometime this year at the way things are going. Even if I reach them next year it’s ok.

August 2020 Dividend report

This report catches myself up on dividend reports it is great to get caught up. My portfolio I keep at Merrill Edge really caught fire this month surging past $200,000 Dollars this doesn’t include the stock I have at equinity or my dividend paying mutual fund It was at the end of 2017 my account was at sharebuilder and it went over $100,000. So. Little over 2.5 years later we have the next $100,000, how crazy is that? I doubt it doubles that quickly. I also track my dividend Stocks and it topped out recently at $229,000 these both are incredible numbers. My Goal is to add my non dividend stocks to my main tracker eventually so I can see it all combined.

T $203.24
GIS $28.91
APPL $68.01
ABBV $111.06
MAIN $27.25
O $11.37
CFFN $31.73
SBUX $21.32
USHYX $65.30
Total $568.19

As you can see another solid month. I sold out of GIS and added a little to T, ABBV, SBUX and APPL. In 10 years APPL could be my largest dividend payer by a long shot. The YOY from last years $487.03 is 16.6 percent higher. I hope your August was great

MAY 2020 Dividend Report

Once again May will be a simple report as I am catching up. I am up around where I was 2 years ago and climbing.

GIS $28.91
T $187.07
APPL $67.01
ABBV $99.14
CFFN $31.48
MAIN $25.69
NRZ $22.58
O $9.72
SBUX $16.81
USHYX $45.50
Total $533.91

Nothing to complain about this month except NRZ is a one time payment here and returned to its regular month. T ABBV and APPL were the big ones this month I have been adding to T, ABBV and SBUX and O. YoY increase was Over 12 percent compared to last years $473.49. Hope your dividends were good.

February 2020 Dividend Review

image

We are 2 months into the year and the market was marching and initially threw off any bad news that was heading its way then we hit the last week of February and The corona virus  finally started affecting the markets.  I think these things are overblown and the media makes more of it than they should. Some say why catch a falling knife other people I here say they wont invest till this is over. I will continue to buy a little here and a little there just like always and let the market work itself out.

This month saw me hit new high in my portfolio Value only to come crashing down but i am OK with that, because my money is buying  more stock and my dividends that are reinvested will do the same thing as long as the market is down.

My total for the month of is $509.98 If i were to go to my Durango Joes coffee shop at 2.97 a cup times 29 is $86.13.  That would  leave me with a nice $423.85 to put towards my bills.   I am going to eventually put it all back in the stock market, I brought in $17.58 a day.  This is a 1.97 percent decrease over last February. Total for year now I have brought in $1097.14 which drops our total per day  to $18.28.  Total lifetime tracked dividends is $25348.35.  The 12 month estimated dividend stands at $6582.84 based on this month, through the end of 2020. You can see the results after time a mix of dividend reinvestment and adding on my own has helped this tremendously. This month would pay most of my bills. Looking at the chart you can see what percentage of  dividend was from each company this month. You can look at past dividends here.

With $509.98 brought in this month and a total of $1097.14 I am 11.42  percent of my Bronze level goal of $9600.00.   My 12 month out  Prospective dividend rose from $8,782.52 to $8,963.54.

I have been making some changes to my Portfolio,  to streamline it into a portfolio that is driven by dividend increases. The portfolio will be better in the long run because of this. The portfolio page has been updated here.

For those that like total return I am  gonna start including it in here, I myself just care about the dividends but some like the total return

Since June 18 when i first moved my money  through Feb 29, 2020 I have a 11.18% S&p 500 TR is 13.04%  increase. Increase for Feb 1st-Feb 29th i have a -9.03% the S&P 500 is -8.23%. Increase from Jan 1st -Feb 29 -10.19%  S&p 500 TR is -8.27%
