March 22 Dividend and Portfolio Report

Here we are end of month 3 and quarter 1 of 2022. The market has continued to be up and down but I like that as I buy when I have cash so it doesn’t matter if the market is up or down. Even with the market being down in the last day of the month my Portfolio Value closed at a record high.

When I wasn’t working I bought some reits and BDC and was content with them in my taxable. Then I got a job and opened a Roth. The plan was to just sell each individual stock and move the money into the Roth then buy back that stock or something in the Roth. Well GOOG announced a split so I hurried that plan along and am currently selling them and buying GOOG and other dividend stocks though I did move some of one into the Roth. After next month I will only have 1 more to sell but it will be going into the Roth. But it will be sold at different times to put into the Roth.

My Networth crossed over the $600,000 mark. My Portfolio is closing in on $400,000 mark, sooner or later I will hit it. Over all I’m very pleased, building this up stock by stock.

Ticker Dividend

MAIN $11.19
PEG $252.56
MRCC $47.35
Total dividend $1,510.36

First time going over $1500.00 a month. FDUS will drop as that is reduced and transferred 101 shares to the Roth. My portfolio will be more tax effective going forward RILY usually pays in the middle month but this quarter pays in the last month. This month is 20.4 percent higher than last March. Q1 22 is 26 percent higher than Q1 21.

Total portfolio value $384,334.82
Forward annual dividend $11,529.51
Trailing 12 months of Dividends $12,145.51 Expected dividend as of 2022 $12,377.92
Net worth as of MAR 22 $600,434.42
Sells FDUS
Bought FDUS, SBUX, GOOG, WBA, KO. Those were my main buys this month.
Dividend raises.
Future goals
Future portfolio value of $400000.00
Forward annual dividends of $15,000.00
Future net worth $750,000
This month I went over $46,400.00 in lifetime dividends.
As I wrap this months report up I’m very pleased with everything. This shows that no matter what you can do the same as I have done and the earlier you start the better off you will be. Just constant buying good quality stocks that raise their value and raise their dividends.

  1. Congrats on passing $1500 for the first time. Must feel good to see that passive income growing. For such a long list of names paying you in March we really have very little overlap. Of course, it’s because of all the REITs BDCs etc. Like the SBUX pick up. No doubt the stock is struggling so far in 2022.

  2. Keep it up D&H. Over $1,500 is a fantastic amount and you’re nearing in on the $12k annual mark which is huge. Getting on average an extra $1k per month is getting way up there. We came up ever so short of crossing $1,300 for the first time within our main taxable account. $0.72 to be exact. I tried and tried to see if I missed a payout or typed something wrong, but $1,300 will have to wait until another month.

    1. I’ve had a few months where I was searching the couch for dividends. Lol. $1300 is great. Mine will drop for a few months but by next year I expect to be firing on all cylinders again soon. Thanks for stopping by.
