September 2019 Dividend Review.

yall-got-any-more-of-them-dividendsYes we are done with September and onto October. While it is still hot during the day it is cooling down at night and feels great in the morning.  That is what we did was we went around the monopoly board and collected money except this money is not fake. it is the real deal and the results i have show it. Of course there are a few disappointments but that was to be expected with some of the dividend cuts and selling. As the markets turn one day up and the next day down one thing that is basically constant is the dividends hitting my dividend account. One of the goals is to be able to live off the dividends. While i could right now combined with my military retirement and disability, i am not settling and going forward and going to see how much dividend income i can accumulate before I officially call it quits and start using the dividend income.

As you can see I was paid 21 times by 21 companies. That comes out to $41.47 per company. 6 new stock and 3 sells throughout the year for this month.  Buys and re investments have helped bring this up. $870.88 is my new record and this record will continue to grow and grow and grow.

If i were to go to my Durango Joes coffee shop at 2.97 a cup times 30 is $89.01.  That would  leave me with a nice $781.78 to put towards my bills.   I am going to eventually put it all back in the stock market, I brought in 29.02 a day or $1.20 an hour on a 24 hour day this is the second month getting over $1.00.  This is a 36.40% increase over last September. Total for year now I have brought in $5295.85 which brings our total per day $19.39.  Total lifetime tracked dividends is $22,059. 85. Definitely seeing the results each month. The 12 month estimated dividend stands at $7061.13 based on this month, through the end of 2019. You can see the results after time a mix of dividend reinvestment and adding on my own has helped this tremendously. This month would pay 3 of my bills with a little left over, but when I inherit the house I will have more so I want to be able to cover most of those also. Looking at the chart you can see what percentage of  dividend was from each company this month.  You can look at the past dividends page which has now been updated Past Dividends.

With $870.88 brought in this month and a total of $5295.85 I am 72.54  percent of my Bronze level goal of $7300.   I still expect to make my goal this year. My 12 month out  Prospective dividend rose from $7490.12 to $7600.12

I have been making some changes to my Portfolio,  to streamline it into a portfolio that is driven by dividend increases. The portfolio will be better in the long run because of this. The portfolio page has been updated here.

For those that like total return I am  gonna start including it in here, I myself just care about the dividends but some like the total return

Since June 18 when i first moved my money  through September 30th, 2019 I have a 12.15%  S&p 500 TR is 12.98%  increase. Increase from Jan 1st -September 30th 19.18%  S&p 500 TR is 20.55%  for the month of August it is 4.44% to 1.87%  to the S&P 500 TR.

How was your month? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. Great analogy… going around the Monopoly board. I think if we explained DGI this way to people who are not yet into it we’d have a lot more followers of the strategy. Looks like your portfolio is working well for you. A record month is great! It looks like you’ll be hitting your annual goal at this pace. Keep it up!

  2. I also had 21 dividend payers in September. Awesome!
Congrats on a new record total. It’s great knowing that more records will come, too.
That’s an impressive XOM payment as well. I should be approaching the $100 mark with XOM soon… maybe next year.
