MAIN Dividend increase

Related image Another dividend raise to report and yes i like it. Main is going to raise its divividend and do away with its supplemental dividends so i expect the December supplemental will be smaller yet but thats ok more money in my pocket sooner.

HOUSTON, May 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE:MAIN) (“Main Street”) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors declared regular monthly cash dividends of $0.205 per share for each of July, August and September 2019.  These monthly dividends, which will be payable pursuant to the table below, total $0.615 per share for the third quarter of 2019 and represent a 7.9% increase from the regular monthly dividends paid for the third quarter of 2018 and a 2.5% increase from the regular monthly dividends declared for the second quarter of 2019.

This is a nice increase from last year. I could live with these $.005 dividend raises every quarter for a long time. LOL

Since i own 108 shares of Main I will get  $6.48 a year. A small dividend raise but  someday it will turn into something bigger.

So what does this mean for me? It means more money in my pocket or to be used to buy another stock. Who does not like more money.

  1. Nice, I was just having a drink with my Dad last night on the porch and he brought up this company. I’ll have to check it out.
