Dividend Raise

imageYesterday I company i own decided to send money my way. who am i to turn down a raise? I love them so i wouldnt turn them down. I love them so much i wish i could get one a day lol. This raise is another surprise as it was not expected so it is very welcome in that aspect.

New Residential Investment (NYSE: NRZ) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.48 per share, or $1.92 annualized. This is a 4.3% increase from the prior dividend of $0.46.

The dividend will be payable on April 28, 2017, to stockholders of record on March 27, 2017, with an ex-dividend date of March 23, 2017.

The annual yield on the dividend is 11.8 percent.

This is awesome not expected and the company paid out the next day but i have to wait to get the new rate. I think i can do that.

Now onto the meat and potatoes of the deal with this .o2 cent a quarter  raise  i have 63.08 shares this raises my dividend to 1.26 a quarter and 5.04 cents a year.that is a nice chunk that i did not have to invest in again to get it just reinvest the dividends.

This is how you get FI get these raises and eventually when you have enough stock and your dividends pay your bills you own your time. It will not happen over night but buying stock now will pay dividends down the road, if you get a good dividend payer.

  1. Ciao DnH,
I am a proud owner of NRZ as well, it’s a quite unknown stock to many people and so far I cannot say anything wrong about it. It’s a difficult business to understand, and to be honest it breaks the rule of “being able to explain it to children” that I have. On the other side if all my research is half good, this company should have increasing returns in a rising interest rate scenario as we are looking at, so I am in hope for more upside/good news. Still, it’s great to see that someone is into it too!
    Ciao ciao
