August 2019 Dividend Review

monopoly_goYes we are done with August and onto September. While it is still hot during the day it is cooling down at night and feels great in the morning.  That is what we did was we went around the monopoly board and collected money except this money is not fake. it is the real deal and the results i have show it. of course there are a few disappointments but that was to be expected with some of the dividend cuts and selling. As the markets turn one day up and the next day down one thing that is basically constant is the dividends hitting my dividend account.

As you can see I was paid 11 times by 11 companies. That comes out to $44.27 per company. 2 new stocks.  Buys and re investments have helped make up the difference. $487.03 less than last year but due to cuts and sells it is expected to be less for awhile but this month will continue to grow. OHI  with its tenant problems was risky so i sold it off and the dividend was cut on AGNC and VOD so it was time to dump those 2 also it looks like we will come out good as those were pushed into other months. This will be the last dividend i receive for VOD

If i were to go to my Durango Joes coffee shop at 2.97 a cup times 31 is $92.07.  That would  leave me with a nice $394.96 to put towards my bills.   I am going to eventually put it all back in the stock market, I brought in 15.71 a day.  This is a -10.66% decrease over last August. Total for year now I have brought in $4424.97 which brings our total per day $18.20.  Total lifetime tracked dividends is $21,188.25. Definitely seeing the results each month. The 12 month estimated dividend stands at $6637.45 based on this month, through the end of 2019. You can see the results after time a mix of dividend reinvestment and adding on my own has helped this tremendously. This month would pay 3 of my bills with a little left over, but when I inherit the house I will have more so I want to be able to cover most of those also. Looking at the chart you can see what percentage of  dividend was from each company this month.  You can look at the past dividends page which has now been updated Past Dividends.

With $487.03 brought in this month and a total of $4424.97 I am 60.61  percent of my Bronze level goal of $7300.  This quarter it will probably drop a little before surging back in Quarter 4, I still expect to make my goal this year. My 12 month out  Prospective dividend rose from $7262.14 to $7490.12

I have been making some changes to my Portfolio,  to streamline it into a portfolio that is driven by dividend increases. The portfolio will be better in the long run because of this.

For those that like total return I am  gonna start including it in here, I myself just care about the dividends but some like the total return

Since June 18 when i first moved my money  through August 31st, 2019 i have a 7.38%  S&p 500 TR is 10.91%  increase. Increase from Jan 1st -August 31st 14.11%  S&p 500 TR is 18.34%  for the month of August it is -2.21% to -1.58%  to the S&P 500 TR.

  5. 4/12/19 3 shares of DUK bought at a price of $89.96 for  total of $269.88. This will add $11.13 a year to my dividends

  8. 4/16/19 2 shares of DUK bought at a price of $89.84 for a total of $179.69. This will add $7.42 a year to my dividends.
  9. 4/17/19 6 shares of ABBV bought at a price of $77.89 for a total of $467.34. This will add $25.68 a year to my dividends.
  10. 4/22/19 3 shares of AZZ bought at a price of $45.35 for a total of $136.05. This will add $2.04 a year to my dividends.
  11. 4/23/19 2 shares of WBA bought at a price of $53.57 for a total of $107.14. This will add $3.52 a year to my dividends.
  12. 4/26/19 4 shares of CVX bought at a price of $115.99 for a total of $463.96. This will add $19.04 a year to my dividends.
  13. 4/26/18 6 shares of VLO bought at a price of $89.47 for a total of $536.80. This will add $21.60 a year to my dividends.
  14. 4/29/19 3 shares of PPL bought at a price of $30.64 for a total of $91.92. This will add $4.95 a year to my dividends.
  15. 4/30/19 2 shares of R bought at a price of $62.45 fro a total of $124.91. This will add $4.32 a year to my dividends

Now i had 2 sells which is a rarity but one wasnt a dividend stock the first sell was GOOG I sold it for $1,205.19 after the $.02 cent fee was $1,205.17 the second sell was a result of a dividend cut, While i like my high yielders 3 cuts since i owned it is enough I sold 109 shares of AGNC for $1,939.62 which the fee was $.04 cents on this one it will be impossible to make up every month the dividend lost for awhile but hopefully dividend raises and buys will soon enough. AGNC cut its dividend by $.02 cents a month last month which dropped my down $26.16 a year by selling the rest i lost $209.28.

I spent and reallocated $3,647.09 dollars this month my future dividend growth is going to be fantastic over the next couple if years. These buys added $160.05 a year to my dividends,  my net dividend for the year though because of the AGNC sell dropped $75.39, it will take a little while to get that back but overall i dont think it will affect my goals this year yet.

What have you bought and sold lately?

March 2019 buys and sell

Well its time to look at what i bought in March and what i sold in March.   i believe in buying quality dividend payers and while i dont like to sell i will if a security gets to dangerous or falls out of favor with me. While March is not over yet i wont be buying anymore as the next trading day is April 1st and that is not a joke.

Buys

3/07 I bought 20 shares of Kr at $27.70 a share for a total of $495.17 this added $11.2 a year  to my dividends.

3/07 I bought 2 shares of VLO at $80.86 a share for a total of $161.72 this added $7.20 a year to my dividends.

3/07 I bought 2 shares of DAL at $49.00 a share for a total of $98.00 this added $2.80 a year to my dividends.

3/08 I bought 4 shares of R at $58.75 a share for a total of $235.00 this added $8.64 a year to my dividends

3/19 I bought 15 shares of VOD at $19.29 a share for a total of $289.31 this added $26.25 a year to my dividends

3/20 I bought 5 shares of DAL at $49.96 a share for a total of $249.80 this added $7.00 a year to my dividends

3/22 I bought 3 shares of BAC at $26.83 a share for a total of $80.49 this added $1.80 a year to my dividends.

3/22 I bought 4 shares of KR at $24.20 a share for a total of $96.78 this added $2.24 a year to my dividends.

3/25 I bought 5 shares of AGNC at $17.94 a share for a total of $89.70 this added $10.8 a year to my dividends

Sells

3/04 I sold 51 shares of WRE at $27.70 a share for a total of $1,412.43 with a $.02 cent transaction fee. This sell took $61.20 off my dividends.

Total from the buys I added $92.77 subtracting the $61.20 gives me a nice $31.57 gain on the month  of course I would like to add $90.00 plus every month with no sells..

I have now added more to my stocks that raise their dividends regularly and will benifit more in the long run.

Have you bought or sold any stock lately?

February Dividends

image Yes Fabulous February dividends are here. Its always great to sit down and let you count my dividends with me. Lets get started.

Busy month for buying and 1 sell which you can read about here.

A fabulous total of $520.03 What is not to like about this? You can compare last years results on the page and also see what percentage each dividend was.

As you can see i was paid 14  times by 14 companies. That comes out to $37.14 per company. New companies ABBV and SBUX helped out this month. The rest is from additional buys and some dividend reinvestment.

If i were to go to my Durango Joes coffee shop at 2.97 a cup times 28 is $83.16.  That would  leave me with a nice $436.87 to put towards my bills.   I am going to eventually put it all back in the stock market, I brought in $18.57 a day.  This is a 55.80  percent increase over last February. Total for year now I have brought in $955.74 which brings our total per day $16.19.  Total lifetime tracked dividends is $17,719.02. Definitely seeing the results each month. The 12 month estimated dividend stands at $5,734.44, based on this month, through the end of 2019. You can see the results after time a mix of dividend reinvestment and adding on my own has helped this tremendously. This month would pay 2 of my bills, but when i inherit the house i will have more so i want to be able to cover most of those also. Looking at the chart you can see what percentage of  dividend was from each company this month.  You can look at the past dividends page which has now been updated Past Dividends.

With $520.03 brought in this month and a total of $955.74 I am 13.09 percent of my Bronze level goal of $7300. It doesnt look good now but lots of months left to go. My 12 month out  Prospective dividend is now at $6917.33.

August Dividend Report

image My favorite time of the month is here when we start reading peoples dividend reports and see how great you guys did and compute mine so we can see how I did. This month is no exception September is here Pumpkin spice coffee is already at SBUX and is probably best thrown in the trash after you order it but none the less another month is in the books.

August was the first full month that my sharebuilder account had been transferred over to Merrill Edge. So now while its hard to say its now a  Merrill Edge account.

Along with my bigger purchase of KDP earlier in the month which I wrote about I alo purchased a smaller amount of VOD on August 20th for 5 shares with a price of $22.97 for a total of $114.85, commission free. This buy adds $8.75 to my forward dividends. Small buys count  also and I want every dollar to count so we are. smaller buys we will  describe here unless i make a few of them throughout a week.
