Yes it is that time of month where we report on what our stocks paid us and if we fell short or exceeded what we wanted to do. Now if you can remember Dec was a record month by a mile because of some special dividends and lots of added capital to my account. Well i added a little capital but was it enough to become my biggest month? Will i weep or will i cry?
Great news another dividend increase. You have to love these as this is how you really turbo charge your portfolio. Even though my holdings in O is small i plan on adding in the future just whenever nobody knows. Since i have 13.3571 this will raise my dividend to .80 cents a year of course compounding will keep bringing this up. Slowly but surely.
Other dividend raises announced this year
announced last year effective this year
The total is 15.89 in raises so far.
Have you had any raises lately?
Disclaimer: long all stocks mentioned
Yup did it again bought 2 more stocks using the sharebuilderplan through sharebuilder. On Tuesday the 14th of March, 1 day before the raise in interest rates from the feds. i bought. One of the goals i have for this year is to bring up my investments while adding new ones also so its a balance that i have to take since i dont have much.
Yes that is recent and buys. On tuesday the i took the plunge and bought 2 existing stocks adding to what i already had. want to balance adding to what i have and new stocks so will take some work but doing a good job so far this year i think.
Ok we have hit the end of FEB that means it is time to tally up the dividends and see where we stand wether to cry or smile. hopefully we have enough to pay a bill.
This is the time that ALL of us who collect dividends look forward to. wether you are just starting out or been doing it for 30 years this is where we see what our money has done for us.
On Tuesday the 29th I dipped my toes into a small amount of NRZ. It was my second buy of it as it is a cash cow that just recently raised its dividend. This stock has been a great performer so far for me of course as always past performance does not equal future performance. It is also one of my favorite reits.
A company I purchased in 2011 decided last year to suspend its dividend that means no dividend unless they reinstate it. no telling if they will at some point but i held on to it only to make a profit and it finally did stay positive long enough for me to make about a 20.00 dollar profit.
