A company I purchased in 2011 decided last year to suspend its dividend that means no dividend unless they reinstate it. no telling if they will at some point but i held on to it only to make a profit and it finally did stay positive long enough for me to make about a 20.00 dollar profit.
While i dont like to sell this stock i acquired along time ago. It has done well but it is a big value stock, and i dont plan to add any to it so selling it makes sense. I already have a replacement planned for next week so it wont be in cash long. Continue reading “Yesterdays Sell”
Tuesday Feb 21 the board of directors of Walmart decided to give me a raise. The Board of Directors of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (WMT) approved an annual cash dividend for fiscal year 2018 of $2.04 per share, an increase of 2 percent from the $2.00 per share paid for the last fiscal year. The fiscal year 2018 annual dividend of $2.04 per share will be paid in four quarterly installments of $0.51 per share

Today the board of directors of KO decided to send me money. whnever a company does that I love it as it increases my income. this is exactly the kind of raise we want while it is smalller than past raises it is still an inflation beater.
I dont like to sell but even good stocks need to be looked at and evaluated if they fit your profile. This stock i acquired in a spin off of a stock that i had planned to sell but havent sold either yet till this transaction.
