Sept 18 Dividend report

yall-got-any-more-of-them-dividends Yes it is time for the more dividends report. and the more the better. as we head into OCT the weather has started cooling off, but the dividends keep coming in.  A little bit of activity this month as i had some small buys, and a sell.

Now it is time to see how well i did this month.

Yes i brought in a total of $638.44 which is my third highest. would have probably been the second highest but i will get into that in a minute.

Buys 9/4   a total of $84.40 was spent on 2 shares of ECH an ETF, 4 shares of VOD an British telecom stock for $85.27. then on 9/7 i  purchased 2 shares of CVX for a total of $228.22. All these purchases were commision free. This added a total of $17.8 dollars to my total.

Now for a sell on 9/25 i sold 597 shares of USHYX for $4,800.00. that money is now sitting in my Merrill edge account waiting to be invested this sell dropped my 12 month projected income from $6305.33 to $6026.29. All is not lost though as the number is once again on the way up as a dividend got reinvested right afterwards.

As you can see i brought in $638.44 from 19 different companies. If i were to go to my Durango Joes coffee shop at 2.97 a cup times 30 is $89.1.  That would  leave me with a nice $549.34 to put towards my bills with 30 days in September. But i am going to eventually put it all back in the stock market, we brought in $21.28 a day.  This is a 87.09% increase over last September. Total for year now we have brought in $4352.39 which brings our total per day $15.94. This month continued to put last years total dividend in the rear view mirror. Total lifetime tracked dividends is $15,162.55. Definitely seeing the results as our estimated income for this year stands at $5,802.6. dollars for this year. The 12 month rolling estimated dividend stands at $6,033.78. You can see the results after time a mix of dividend reinvestment and adding on my own has helped this tremendously. Looking at the chart you can see what percentage of  dividend was this month.  You can look at the past dividends page which has now been updated Past Dividends.

How was your dividend haul? Did you do better than expected? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. Hey Doug! Wow, PEG and XOM delivered some nice totals for you.. that’s a lot of DJ coffee. 🙂
Looks like you were close to 100% YoY growth, too, if I’m looking at the tables correctly. Nice work.

  2. Looks like another solid dividend income update. Bringing in over $600 is a tidy sum, especially when it’s 100% passive. Always love to read about new buys but curious why you sold USHYX? Keep up the good work.

    1. My reply didn’t post lol. I sold a portion of USHYX because there is very little price appreciation and dividend growth. So it is a great way to store up some money then put it in the regular account some of the stocks will have some good dividend increases hopefully. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  3. Congrats on the nice haul of dividends, Doug! $638.44 is a nice chunk of money. That basically covers the cost of my shelter expenses. My dividend income was decent in September 2018. I was about where I expected. I posted a fairly high yoy growth rate. Keep it up!
