Image result for ppl corporation logoYes 2 dividend hikes one was the 22nd that escaped my view but its still a hike and i will take it.

PPL announced that it is increasing its common stock dividend to $0.41 per share on a quarterly basis, raising the annualized dividend about 4 percent from $1.58 per share to $1.64 per share. The increased dividend will be payable April 2 to shareowners of record as of March 9.

This raise gives me .72 Cents a quarter or $2.88 a year

Image result for altria logoThe second one was today and boy was it a surprise. MO or altria raised early giving me .04 a share. like i said totally unexpected but who will turn down extra free money?

Altria Group Inc. said Thursday it will raise its quarterly dividend by 6.1%, to 70 cents a share from 66 cents a share. The tobacco products company said the new dividend will be payable April 10 to shareholders of record on March 15. Based on current price of Altria’s stock, which was down 0.1% at $62.88 in midday trade, the new annual dividend rate of $2.80 would imply a dividend yield of 4.45%. The S&P 500’s implied dividend yield is 1.91%, according to FactSet.

This is a stock that basically is printing money even in hard times or when it seems that times gets tough it delivers.

Based on my share count of 118.58 this adds $4.74 a quarter or $18.97 a year. whats not to like about that?
