Duk dividend raise

image I got a raise yesterday but somehow missed it found it today though. Thats a good thing dont know when i would have seen it if i had not of today lol. one good thing about dividend raises is a love them. it helps drive up my portfolio and that is what we want.

Duke Energy Corporation DUK announced that its board of directors has approved a quarterly cash dividend of 89 cents per share on its common stock. This would mark a quarterly increase of 3.5 cents or 4.1%.  Per the company, the dividend will be payable on Sep 18, 2017 to stockholders on record as of Aug 18, 2017. The estimated annual yield on the dividend is 4.3%. Duke Energy has been paying its cash dividend per share every year and this is the 91st consecutive year in which the company has continued with the same trend.

Long pay out streaks means a company is committed to rewarding shareholders which is evidence by the nice size of this raise May not be the biggest but it works for me.

Since I own 36.58 shares this will add 5.093 dollars a year to my dividends.
