NRZ Dividend raise

The Board of directors of NRZ decided to send me an increased dividend payment this past week.

NEW YORK, Jun. 21 /BusinessWire/ — New Residential Investment Corp. (NYSE:NRZ) announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.50 per common share for the second quarter of 2017, up from $0.48 per common share in the first quarter of 2017. The dividend is payable on July 28, 2017 to shareholders of record on July 3, 2017.

“This marks the second time New Residential increased its quarterly dividend this year, reflecting our longstanding commitment to grow earnings and optimize returns for our shareholders,” said Michael Nierenberg, Chief Executive Officer of New Residential.

Now as i say who doesnt love dividend raises especially these surprise ones that you dont know about. These  are always the best as they are unexpected and really hit you with how this company loves its investors.

This dividend raise was .02 cents not a big raise but it is a raise indeed it beats inflation at 4.2 pecent when you add in last quarters raise it adds up to 8.7 percent.

Since i own 115.9 shares this comes out to 2.31 a quarter and 9.27 a year. This is how we achieve financial independance when these raises help push our dividends up and over what we need to get there.

This is how its done small little increases that add up over time. And add up  they all sure do as you can see month by month stocks that pay dividends grow.

That is 48.64 dollars i did not have to work for just put a little money down on a company i trusted and they reward with a raise every so often. This is how we reach FI is we will eventually get to the crossover point where our dividends pay for what we them to pay for. no matter what your goal is, this is exciting to watch.
