January Dividends

image

One month down and we are done with January. Yep that was a fast month seems like yesterday we were just waking up to the year. Where does time go? After my successful 2016 we are excited to see how successful 2017 will be. It is time now to see what the damage is and to see wether i weep or cry.

To start off with im going to be adding my mutual fund which pays monthly dividends to my accounting so that will be something new. It is from USAA and is USHYX had it for while but never thought of reporting it till recently. so that will be figured in from now on.

So the month of January saw m3 make 2 buys OHI andadded to  AGNC. I also added to my mutual fund a little as its free to add.

So lets see what we did

11 companies and 1 mutual fund paid me a dividend 188.41 from Sharebuilder. STS paid a special dividend which is nice. Last January i got 152.62 So just the sharebuilder increase is 23.4. factoring in the mutual fund brings it up to 35.7. wish i could up my dividends that much every month for a few years.  Daily this dividend adds up to 6.95 a day while not a lot but is closing in on minimum wage this would buy at least 1 cup of coffee a day at 2.00 and still leave room left over

Raises for this Month anounced O, OHI, and NRZ. announced last year and recieved this month was O and CIM.

It is exciting looking forward as the stocks i bought in the second half last year are starting to come to frutation and see you can see the dividend growth I am starting to get.

Since the USHYX is variable rate i will give the expected dividends from sharebuilder account. So far this year my expected dividends is supposed to 2,260.92.

How was your month.

Long all stocks shown and talked about.

  1. Got to love those dividend increases! Compounding is going to quickly take effect before you even realize it. I am just starting out as I only just began work but I got $15. I expect very little in February then close to $70 for March due to purchases I and my making

    1. Have to start somewhere just like all of us and with the info available you are way ahead of me in terms of starting off. If I knew now what I knew then I’d have at least 1,000 a month or close to it
Keep chugging along and thanks for stopping by

  2. Heck yeah! Nice job and what a way to start off 2017. 12 different holdings paying you a check and you were able to earn that income without lifting a finger. That is what I’m talking about right there. Can’t wait to see what the rest of 2017 has in store for you!

  3. Congrats on the big increase over this time last year; it’s always very motivating to see higher increases especially when starting out.
Looking forward to seeing even more increases as you continue investing this year!

  4. Wow, you crushed it this January! Good collection of stocks paying you. I love how you relate it being able to buy a cup of coffee each day with money left over. We’re all so caught up in reinvesting our dividends that we sometimes forget that eventually it will be really cool to live off them!
